Schedule of Application
The latest application period for the Food Technologist Licensure Examination (FTLE) was from May 14, 2026, to July 13, 2026.
- FTLE Opening of Application: May 14, 2026
- FTLE Deadline of Application: July 13, 2026
Following the important schedule are the exam date and the target release of results:
- FTLE Examination Date: August 12 & 13, 2026
- FTLE Target Release of Result: August 17, 2026

Requirement for Filing the Application
Below are the official requirements you need to prepare for your Food Technologist Board Exam application.
Degree/Course Requirement:
- Applicants must have a Bachelor of Science in Food Technology or its equivalent, such as:
- BS Food Science and Technology
- BS Food Engineering
- BS Food Technology and Entrepreneurship
- BS Food Science
- BS Food Science and Nutrition
- BS Nutrition and Food Technology
- Bachelor of Food Technology
For First-Timer:
- Notarized Application Form
- Birth Certificate
- Marriage Certificate/Contract, for married female applicants
- College Diploma and Transcript of Records (TOR) with scanned picture and remarks “For Board Examination Purposes”
- National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Clearance
- Other documents that may be required by the Board
For Repeaters:
- National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Clearance, valid for at least six months from the date of filing of the application
For Foreign Nationals (First-Timer):
- Notarized Application Form
- Copy of national law, international treaty, agreement, or covenant proving reciprocity for the practice of Food Technology between the Philippines and the applicant’s country, as provided under Section 26
- Birth Certificate
- Marriage Certificate/Contract, for married female applicants
- Copy of passport data page or any equivalent document to establish citizenship
- College Diploma and Transcript of Records with scanned picture
- Certificate of Good Moral Character issued by any of the following:
- Employer
- School, college, or university
- Any competent authority acceptable to the Board
- Other documents that may be required by the Board
Applicants who earned their degree abroad must also submit a Certificate of Equivalency from CHED.
Notes:
- All official documents issued or executed abroad must be authenticated by the Philippine Embassy, Consulate, or Legation in the state or country where they were issued or executed.
- An Apostille Certification issued by the proper foreign authority is sufficient, if applicable.
- Documents must be accompanied by an official English translation, if applicable.
For Foreign Nationals (Repeaters):
- Copy of national law, international treaty, agreement, or covenant proving reciprocity for the practice of Food Technology between the Philippines and the applicant’s country, as provided under Section 26 of Board Resolution No. 07, Series of 2022
- Certificate of Good Moral Character issued by any of the following:
- Employer
- School, college, or university
- Any competent authority acceptable to the Board

- Submission of Birth and Marriage Certificates shall be subject to the provisions of R.A. No. 11909.

Step 1: Make Sure You’re Ready to Apply
Before starting the application, check if you meet the basic qualifications:
- ✅ You’re a Filipino citizen
- ✅ You’ve completed a Bachelor of Science in Food Technology or a related course
- ✅ You’ve gathered all the required documents (see Step 2!)
- ✅ The exam schedule is already announced by PRC (check the schedule of application above!)

Step 2: Prepare These Documents and Requirements
