Schedule of Application
The latest application period for the Sanitary Engineer Licensure Examination (SELE) was from May 26, 2026, to July 27, 2026.
- SELE Opening of Application: May 26, 2026
- SELE Deadline of Application: July 27, 2026
Following the important schedule are the exam date and the target release of results:
- SELE Examination Date: August 24, 25, & 26, 2026
- SELE Target Release of Result: August 28, 2026

Requirement for Filing the Application
Below are the official requirements you need to prepare for your Sanitary Engineer Board Exam application.
For First-Timer and Repeater:
- Degree/Course: Please refer to Section 17 of RA No. 1364
- PSA¹ Birth Certificate
- PSA Marriage Certificate/Contract (for married female applicants).
- TOR² with name of the course, date of graduation and S.O. (B) number, unless exempt therefrom due to accreditation of the course by the CHED.
- NBI³ Clearance (valid at least 6 months on the day of application)
- Three (3) Certificates of Good Moral Character from any of the following:
- Parent
- Barangay
- School
- Office of occupation or supervisor
- For a registered Civil Engineer to qualify as an Examinee for Sanitary Engineering Licensure Examination (SELE) under R.A. 1364 section 17 d, shall take MAJOR SUBJECTS IN SANITARY ENGINEERING from a school, institute, college or university recognized by the Government shall use list of subjects under CHED CMO 98 s 2017, and are as follows:
- Third year subjects:
- Environmental Science and Engineering
- Microbiology and Parasitology for Environmental engineers
- Public Health Engineering
- Occupational Health and safety
- Fourth year subjects:
- Environmental Planning, Laws and Impact Assessment
- Water Supply Planning and Development
- Sewerage and Urban Drainage
- Sanitary Science, Fire protection and Plumbing, as applied to Buildings
- Sanitary Engineering Laws, Contracts and Ethics
- Environmental Engineering Laboratory
- Planning and Design in Environmental and Sanitary Engineering
- Water Purification Process Design
- Sewage and Industrial wastewater treatment

- After three (3) failures, applicants may be allowed to take the examination only after the lapse of one (1) year from the date of last examination.

Step 1: Make Sure You’re Ready to Apply
