Schedule of Application
The latest application period for the Physician Licensure Examination (PLE) was from May 22, 2025 to July 22, 2025.
- PLE Opening of Application: May 22, 2025
- PLE Deadline of Application: July 22, 2025
Following with the Important schedule which are:
- PLE Examination Date: October 04, 05, 11 & 12, 2025
- PLE Target Release of Result: October 16, 2025

Requirement for Filing the Application
To apply for the Physician Licensure Examination (PLE), make sure you have the following:
For Prelims Only (For those enrolled as Medical Student in a Commission on Higher Education (CHED) recognized Medical Schools:
- Philippine Statistic Authority (PSA) Birth Certificate;
- PSA Marriage Contract (for married female applicants);
- Transcript of Record (TOR) and
- Good Moral Character from the Dean of College of Medicine
For Physician Licensure Examination (Final Complete):
A. Filipino Citizen Who Obtained Medical Degree from Philippine Medical Schools:
- PSA Birth Certificate;
- PSA Marriage Contract (for married female applicants);
- Two (2) Certificates of Good Moral Character from any two (2) of the following:
- a) Medical School where he/she graduated from
- b) Hospital / Institution where he/she completed his/her internship
- c) Indigenous Community/Parish where he/she belongs
- Transcript of Records (TOR);
- Diploma of MD Degree or its equivalent; and
- Certificate of Post Graduate Internship issued by a hospital accredited by the Association of Philippine Medical College (APMC).
B. For Filipino Citizen Who Obtained Medical Degree from Foreign Medical School:
- PSA Birth Certificate;
- PSA Marriage Contract (for married female applicants);
- Two (2) Certificates of Good Moral Character from any of the following:
- a) Medical School where he/she graduated from (current status)
- b) Hospital / Institution where he/she completed his/her internship
- c) Previous employment
- d) Parish Priest
- e) International Police
- f) Barangay
- Diploma of MD Degree or equivalent;
- Original or authenticated copy of the TOR or equivalent document of the course for the licensure examination issued by the institution of higher learning where the applicant graduated;
- Certificate of Equivalency issued by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) stating that the course taken by the applicant is equivalent to the Doctor of Medicine course offered in Philippine Schools of Medicine; and
- Certificate of Post Graduate Internship issued by a hospital accredited by the Association of Philippine Medical College (APMC) or Certificate of Equivalency issued by CHED.
An examinee who fails for the third (3rd) time shall be required to submit Certificate of Completion of a refresher course in a recognized medical school or college and current two (2) certificates of Good Moral Character from the Medical School where he/she graduated from and Hospital/Institution where he/she completed his/her internship before he/she shall be allowed to take the examinations.

How to Apply for Physician Board Exam
So, you’re finally ready to take on the Physician board exam? Let’s make sure your application stress-free! Follow this step-by-step guide:
Step 1: Make Sure You’re Ready to Apply
Before jumping into the process, double-check if you’re ready to file:
- ✅ You’re a Filipino citizen
- ✅ You graduated with a Doctor of Medicine degree
- ✅ You completed your post-graduate internship in an APMC-accredited hospital
- ✅ The PRC application schedule for Physician Licensure Exam is still open (check the exam schedule above!)
- ✅ You’ve prepared all the documents listed in the next step
If you said yes to all of the above—great! You’re good to go.
Step 2: Prepare These Documents and Requirements
You’ll need to gather the following official documents. Have both digital copies (for uploading online) and printed originals and photocopies (for PRC submission):
- PSA Birth Certificate
- PSA Marriage Contract (only if you’re a married female applicant)
- Two (2) Certificates of Good Moral Character — from any two of the following:
- Your medical school
- The hospital where you completed your internship
- Your parish or indigenous community
- Transcript of Records (TOR) from your medical school
- Diploma of your MD Degree (or its equivalent)
- Certificate of Post-Graduate Internship from an APMC-accredited hospital
- Also make sure your payment method (GCash, Maya, etc.) has enough load — the PRC application fee is ₱900, plus a ₱20 service fee for digital transactions.
Step 3: Create or Log In to Your PRC LERIS Account

Step 4: Apply for the Physician Licensure Exam Online
Once logged in:
- Click “Examination”
- Select Physician as your board exam
- Choose your exam date and preferred PRC testing center
- Upload your digital requirements
- Set your appointment schedule at your preferred PRC office
- Pay the application fee using GCash, Maya, LandBank, or over-the-counter methods

Step 5: Go to the PRC Office for Final Verification
On your appointment day, bring:
- Printed Application Form
- Original and photocopies of all required documents
- Valid government-issued ID
- Php 21 for documentary stamp
- Php 30 for metered mailing envelope
At the PRC, they’ll review your documents. If everything’s good, they’ll hand you your Notice of Admission (NOA) — your golden ticket to the exam — along with your Program of Examination and the mailing envelope.
