Schedule of Application

The latest application period for the Psychologist Licensure Examination (PLE) was from May 21, 2026, to July 20, 2026.

  • PLE Opening of Application: May 21, 2026
  • PLE Deadline of Application: July 20, 2026

Following the important schedule are the exam date and the target release of results:

  • PLE Examination Date: August 19 & 20, 2026
  • PLE Target Release of Result: August 27, 2026

Requirement for Filing the Application

To apply for the Psychologist Licensure Examination (PLE), make sure you have the following:

First-Timer:

  1. Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Birth Certificate
  2. PSA Marriage Certificate/Contract (for married female applicants)
  3. Transcript of Records (TOR) for “Master’s Degree in Psychology” with scanned picture and Remarks “For Board Examination Purposes” indicating sufficient credits in the four (4) subjects required by Law: Advanced Theories of Personality, Advanced Abnormal Psychology, Counseling and Psychotherapy, and Advanced Psychological Assessment
  4. Certification, Authentication and Verification (CAV) for those who graduated from Autonomous/Deregulated Schools and TOR without Special Order (S.O.) number
  5. National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Clearance (valid at least 6 months as of the date of filing of the application)
  6. Three (3) Certificates of Good Moral Character, preferably from school, employer, church, barangay captain, duly signed under oath by the issuing authority
  7. Mental Health Certification – signed under oath by a Registered Psychologist/Psychiatrist
  8. Certification or documentary proof that the applicant has undergone a minimum of two hundred (200) hours of supervised practicum/ internship / clinical experience related to services enumerated in Section 3 (b) of RA No. 10029 specifying the institution where this internship training was spent, and the detailed activities or psychological services and number of hours rendered, under the auspices of a licensed psychologist or other licensed mental health professional. This certification must be issued by the Supervising Psychologist under oath.

Other Requirements:

  1. Certificate of Equivalency from the CHED Office of Standards and Programs through the Technical Committee for Psychology Education, if applicant –
    • completed his degree program in Psychology from a school outside the Philippines
    • completed a seemingly equivalent innovative program approved by CHED but may not have sufficiently met the required PSG for Psychology Education
    • took subjects similar to the required Board Exam subjects that need to be confirmed and vetted by the CHED as equivalent.
  2. For the non-psychology degree holders TOR should show bridging subjects in Developmental Psychology, Theories of Personality, Abnormal Psychology, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Psychological Assessment, and Social Psychology

 Repeaters:(Special Requirement/s)

  1. TOR for “Master’s Degree in Psychology” with scanned picture and Remarks “For Board Examination Purposes” indicating sufficient credits in the four (4) subjects required by Law: Advanced Theories of Personality, Advanced Abnormal Psychology, Counseling and Psychotherapy, and Advanced Psychological Assessment
  2. NBI Clearance (valid at least 6 months as of the date of filing of the application

How to Apply for Psychologists Board Exam

So, you’re finally ready to take the Psychologist Licensure Exam?

Awesome! Let’s make your application smooth and stress-free. Just follow these simple steps:

Step 1: Check If You’re Ready to Apply

Before starting, make sure you meet all these:

  • ✅ You’re a Filipino citizen
  • ✅ You’ve completed a degree required for the Psychologist Board Exam
  • ✅ You’ve gathered all the required documents (see Step 2!)
  • ✅ The PRC exam schedule is open for applications (check the Schedule of Application above)

If you checked all of these, then you’re ready to go!

Step 2: Prepare These Documents and Requirements

Time to gather your papers! You’ll need both digital copies (for uploading online) and printed copies (for PRC submission).

Here’s what you need:

  1. PSA Birth Certificate
  2. Transcript of Records (TOR) with scanned picture and the remark: “For Board Examination Purposes”
  3. PSA Marriage Certificate (if you’re a married female)
  4. Valid NBI Clearance (for both first-time takers and repeaters)
  5. Application Fee: ₱900

📌Tips: Make sure your payment app (GCash, Maya, etc.) has enough funds. There may also be a small service fee for digital payments.

Step 3: Create or Log In to Your PRC LERIS Account

Go to the PRC online portal:

  • If this is your first time, create an account.
  • If you already have one? Just log in.

Step 4: File Your Application Online

Now you’re ready to apply! Once logged in:

  1. Click “Examination
  2. Choose “Psychologist” as your exam type
  3. Pick your exam date and PRC testing center
  4. Upload all the required documents
  5. Set your appointment schedule
  6. Pay the ₱900 application fee (via GCash, Maya, LandBank, or over-the-counter)

📌Reminder: After paying, download and print your Application Form from the portal. You’ll need this at the PRC office.

Step 5: Go to the PRC Office for Final Verification

On your appointment day, bring:

  • Printed Application Form
  • Original and photocopies of all required documents
  • 1 valid government-issued ID
  • ₱21 for documentary stamp
  • ₱30 for mailing envelope

At the PRC, they’ll check your papers. If everything’s complete, they’ll give you:

  • Notice of Admission (NOA)
  • Program of Examination
  • Official mailing envelope
